With its walls hung with seventeenth-century Flemish tapestries, this is one of the the most atmospheric of the bedrooms.

It was formerly Sir Charles Coote’s dressing room, located between the nurseries and Lady Coote’s bedchamber, overlooking Sir Richard Morrison’s kitchen court. The white marble chimneypiece in this room originated from the Georgian house that formerly stood at Ballyfin and was moved here from the former bachelor rooms on the ground floor.
